    Default 97 F250 OBD2 connector

I just bought a Hypertech programmer for my 97 powerstroke. When I attempted to plug in the cable I discovered the truck has a non standard OBD2 port. It is rectangular and instead of 16 female sockets it has some male and some female pin sockets. I went on the Ford tech help page to ask WTF but I have not heard back yet.

My Innova code reader has a trapezoidal plug with 6 male pins on the wide side and 8 male pins on the short side. The Hypertech has a trapezoid with 8 male pins top and bottom. Any thoughts?

Your 16 pin connector is located below the glove box, near center, just right of the trans hump.

    Default Error codes

The problem was my eyes, not the truck. Some days my vision is blurry and evidently yesterday was a blurry day, The problem was what looked like a rectangular outlet yesterday was just blurry vision. Today I can see better so I flipped the cable end over and it plugged right in.

The error codes I got are P0603 - Keep Alive Memory (KAM) error and P0344 - Camshaft position sensor A circuit intermittent (bank 1 or Single sensor)

    Any thoughts o these?

Battery or PCM has been disconnected?
Battery cables loose or poor connection?
Battery discharged? Test CCA on both Batteries...
    Open in KAPWR circuit?
    Blown fuse?
    PCM.

    P0344
Cam sensor bad (#1 problem)and or wiring to sensor.
Any rough idle associated after start?

This sounds like something for the local mechanic. Idle is fine
